Our Staff

heidi_and_joe_pic.pngJoe Hislope, Owner and General Manager

Joe’s musical training began in his teens as a self taught guitarist and Southern Gospel musician. Along with Heidi, his formal violin education grew as an adult. Recognizing Lexington's need for a specialty string shop, Joe has dedicated his previous corporate accounting background to building a blossoming musical presence for local amateurs and professionals alike.

 Heidi Hislope, Luthier and Co-Owner

Heidi’s love of fiddle inspired her to take lessons as an adult. Her long time artistic talents found a home with the violin and led her to the world of string instrument repair and restoration. In addition to her masterful technique, you will find her creative instrument art work displayed throughout the shop.
