yedamkimsmaller.jpg A native of South Korea, YeDam Kim holds B.M. and M.M. in Violin Performance from the University of Kentucky, and is a Graduate Teaching Assistant at UK, where she studies with professor Daniel Mason. Ms. Kim is currently a member of UK’s graduate resident string quartet, the Niles string quartet, and the Volare string quartet and frequently appears as a concertmaster for the University of Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, and a sub for the Lexington Philharmonic.  Ms. Kim's musical journey has included appearing on Brevard summer music festival, International conductor’s festival (Guest artist), Danville, KY, and Festival de musique de Pâques, Deauville, France, Prague Summer Nights, as well as masterclasses with Nathan Cole, Alex Kerr, David Kim, Stephen Rose, and Ilya Kaler.  In addition to being a soloist and chamber musician, Ms. Kim is a dedicated teacher and committed to teaching all ages. She has taught over 6 years privately in Korea and the USA.
